Terms & Conditions

BY BOOKING MILLER-BROWN CONSULTING LTD T/A THE GRAZE GIRLS AND MILLER-BROWN PRIVATE DINING & EVENT CATERING YOU AGREE TO OUR TERMS & CONDITIONS AS LISTED BELOW:

Our full Terms & Conditions of trade can be downloaded here.  These Terms & Conditions, your Order, our Order Confirmation and related correspondence including information contained on our website govern the sale and provision of Catering Services and form the basis of the Contract between Miller-Brown Consulting Ltd and its customers.  There are some key points we would like to highlight:

Menu & Orders

We would love to discuss your event with you.  The key things we need to know are the date, the timings of the event, the venue/delivery address, the number of guests we are catering for, your food choices and any special dietary requirements.  If appropriate we will discuss details of any Catering Staff required and anything else you might need support with.  Please note all menu choices are subject to market availability and we reserve the right to substitute menu items (subject to allergen requirements), at our discretion should, any menu item not be available.  We will then send you an Estimate and once we have agreed all the details we will send an Order Confirmation and our Invoice as appropriate.

We provide two distinct kinds of Catering Service:

Ready To Eat Food - which includes Grazing Platters, Boxes & Ready To Serve.  The food is delivered to you (or collected by you) ready to go & all you need to do is remove from the packaging and serve.  Don’t forget to keep the platters / boxes level!

Event Food - which comprises Grazing Tables, Private Dining & Event Catering and where we bring the food to your venue and arrange it then leave you to enjoy it, or stay to serve you and your guests for the duration of your Event.

  • We will remove food waste from service only and are unable to dispose of empty drinks bottles or refuse generated by the Event unless this has been agreed with us in advance.  Please contact us if you would like support in this regard.

Dietary Requirements & Allergies

Please let us know about any allergy or dietary requests when booking.  Please be aware that our food is prepared in a kitchen where allergens are present.  Consequently, we cannot guarantee that products are free from ingredients that may affect those with food allergies.  Please also refer to the allergens page on our website.

Catering Staff

To reflect the periodic nature of our work, the scarcity of human resource in the hospitality industry and to ensure a wage rate which meets everyday needs you can be assured that we are paying our team less than UK Real Living Wage https://www.livingwage.org.uk/what-real-living-wage.  The published hourly rate does not include employer costs such as Employers National Insurance, Working Time Directive (Holiday) Pay and Pension Contributions and Statutory Sick Pay which add over 25% to hourly rate of pay.  Please note that we are required to pay staff when they are at our (your) disposal and that they are entitled to a 20 minute break within each 6 hours of work with breaks not to be taken at the beginning or end of a shift.

Social Media

Unless our clients/customers explicitly ask us not to use images taken at their event, we reserve the right to use them on our social media platforms.

General

Unfortunately we are unable to hold dates.

It is the responsibility of the customer to properly refrigerate food once delivered and to dispose of food if kept unrefrigerated beyond 4 hours (2 hours for hot food prepared on site) to comply with UK food standards. By agreeing to our terms and conditions the client is agreeing to dispose of any food after this set time. We will not be held responsible for any adverse reactions to our food consumed after this time or which has not been stored appropriately.  You must ensure that you have sufficient space available in your fridge if you intend to store Ready to Serve food prior to consumption.

Delivery of Ready To Eat food will be attempted. If no one is in, the package will be handed to a neighbour. Failing that, delivery will be left in a safe place as previously advised. This is because fresh food products cannot be couriered back to HQ. We are not responsible for the product once left in a safe place or with a neighbour.

We reserve the right to charge for breakages after the Event provided the customer is notified of these within 14 days of the Event and only where caused by the customer or an attendee at the Event.

All published prices include VAT.
